May Tourney Added to LSA Schedule

LSA fencers will contest the 2009 Derby Open on Saturday, May 19. It will be held at the Bluegrass Fencers Club in Lexington, Kentucky

This event represents Kentucky's Under 16, Division II, and Division III qualifier for Summer Nationals. As such, the overall competition level will be more formidable than any yet encountered by LSA fencers. However, this tournament is closed to any fencer possessing a classification higher than "C."

It has not yet been determined whether LSA will field fencers in this competition's Y14, Cadet, and Team events.

The LSA contingent will leave the morning of Friday, May 8 and return the evening of Saturday, May 9. More information will be posted as details are nailed down.
